Komaeda's talent is, unlike Makoto Naegi's, almost supernatural in ability. Super High School Level Good Luck doesn't quite cover it, as it's a talent that is impossible to replicate or control. So to keep it simple, I've condensed it into bullet points! The information here does not spoil plot development, but does refer to Komaeda's backstory.
➣ Komaeda's luck is the type of luck that both harms and helps. It is noticeable in that it is both Negative and Positive, and both to extremes.
➣ His luck cycles between supernaturally bad, and supernaturally good; the worse the bad is, the better the good.
➣ The person that knows this cycle best is Komaeda himself; when his luck has been bad, he simply trusts in his luck to be good afterwards; his faith in his luck is so extreme that he once tried Russian Roulette with five bullets in the chamber... and made it out alive and unharmed. Though it cannot be controlled, observation of the cycle makes it obvious when it is safe to take risks with it.
➣ Because of the cycle of luck, he is severely ill, and has only a couple of years left to live, barring some kind of divine intervention (or magic).
➣ Though Komaeda refers to his luck as being useless, it's capable of making once-in-a-lifetime events occur... such as a meteor striking the hijacker of the plane he's on.
